These terms are the agreement between you and The Wagon Method. By creating an account, browsing the site, or using any of our tools, you are agreeing to what is written here. We have tried to keep it plain. If a section feels confusing, write to us and we will help.
What The Wagon Method is
The Wagon Method is an educational platform. It helps caregivers, caseworkers, therapists, and teachers understand childhood trauma and practice trauma-informed ways of pulling a child's wagon. We publish courses, a wagon dashboard for tracking the four wheels, a news feed, a community space, and guided tools that point you toward strategies for the situation in front of you.
What The Wagon Method is not
This is important. Please read carefully.
- The platform is not a substitute for clinical care, therapy, medical advice, or legal advice.
- It is not a crisis service. If you or a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or 988 right now.
- It does not replace your child's care team. Everything you learn here is a starting point, not a prescription.
- It is not a diagnostic tool. Spoke ratings and wheel health reflect your observations, not a medical assessment.
- Nothing here creates a therapist-client, doctor-patient, or attorney-client relationship between you and us.
Who can use the platform
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The platform is designed for adults who are caring for, working with, or supporting children. Children do not create accounts directly. If you are signing up in a professional role, you are telling us that you are legally allowed to practice in that role in your state or country.
Your account
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about who you are and the role you play in a child's life
- Keep your password confidential and secure
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has gained access to your account
- Take responsibility for everything that happens under your login
- Only enter child data that you have the legal right to handle, including required caregiver consent
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Some records tied to shared community posts or legal obligations may be retained beyond deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
The Wagon Method is a community of people trying to help children. To keep it that way, please do not:
- Use the platform to harm, harass, shame, or exploit a child
- Share another person's private information without their consent
- Impersonate another caregiver, professional, or organization
- Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or violent
- Attempt to bypass role-based access, reverse engineer the platform, or disrupt our services
- Scrape, harvest, or mass-download content or user data
- Use the platform or its content to train an AI model without our written permission
- Use the platform in any way that violates the law of your jurisdiction
If you see something on the platform that concerns you, please report it. We take reports seriously and act quickly on content that puts anyone at risk.
Content ownership
We own, or have licensed, all of the courses, articles, illustrations, video, framework taxonomy, and brand assets on this platform. You are welcome to use this content for your own learning and for the children you care for. You may not republish our content on other platforms, resell it, or present it as your own work.
You keep ownership of everything you write into the platform: your assessments, notes, questions, answers, and community posts. By posting publicly, you grant us a limited license to display that content on the platform and, with your consent, in future versions of the product. You can delete your posts at any time, and we will remove them.
Community guidelines
The community space follows our content policy. In short, we expect warmth, honesty, and respect. We do not allow clinical diagnosis of other people's children, shaming of caregivers, or promotion of services. Moderation is handled by real humans, and decisions can be appealed.
AI-assisted features
Some parts of the platform use AI to generate suggestions, classify community questions, or draft educational content. AI outputs are labeled. They are always educational guidance, never clinical advice, and they do not replace the judgment of a qualified professional. Full details live in our AI disclosure.
Disclaimers
The platform and its content are provided as is. We do our best to keep everything accurate, warm, and grounded in research, but we do not guarantee that any strategy will work for every child, that the service will always be available, or that the content will be free of errors. Every family's situation is different, and you remain the person who knows your child best.
Nothing on this platform is a substitute for professional judgment. If you are worried about a child's safety, or your own, please contact a licensed professional or a crisis service. Our crisis policy lists resources we trust.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Wagon Method and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. This includes any decision you make, or do not make, based on content you find here. Our total liability for any claim related to the platform will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid us nothing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limits on certain kinds of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where we are legally required to provide stronger protection, we do.
Indemnification
If someone brings a legal claim against us because of something you posted, did, or failed to do on the platform in violation of these terms, you agree to defend us and cover the costs, unless the claim comes from our own misconduct.
Termination
You can stop using the platform at any time by deleting your account. We can suspend or end your access if you violate these terms, put a child at risk, or use the platform in ways that threaten other users. When we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to correct the issue. For serious safety concerns, we may act immediately.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state where The Wagon Method is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be worked out by talking it through will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a region with stronger protections, those protections still apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of the page and notify active accounts by email. If you keep using the platform after a change, you are agreeing to the updated terms. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
