Primary Advocates
Oxen
Oxen are the adults pulling the wagon forward. Caregivers, mentors, caseworkers, the teacher who notices when the child is dysregulating before the rest of the room does. The work of the oxen is the work of showing up. Pieces in this part honor the daily, unglamorous repetition that healing requires. They cover advocate identity (who an ox is and what an ox is not), the practice of pacing the work so an ox is still pulling next year, and the recognition that an ox who is starving cannot pull. Forms that fit this part include `STAGE_GUIDE`, `LENS`, `REFRESHER`, and `STRATEGY_PRACTICE` on advocate self-care, role clarity, and pacing. The journey vocabulary includes: showing up, the daily yoke, the long pull, the next mile.
